The United States Mint will start selling gold and silver coins commemorating the Salt Lake Games on January 21st. It will sell 80,000 gold $5 coins and 400,000 silver dollar coins.


1) How many coins will be sold in all?





2) If each gold coin costs $5 and each silver coin costs $1, how much money will you need to buy 80,000 gold coins and 400,000 silver coins?
