1) There were 25 turkey balloons, 12 Pilgrim balloons, and 30 Native American balloons at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Seventeen of the turkey balloons popped. How many balloons were left?





2) My grandmother makes delicious Christmas cookies. She always makes 3 dozen stars and 4 dozen snowmen. For Thanksgiving, she made 5 dozen pumpkin-shaped cookies. How many Thanksgiving cookies did she make?






3) There were 101 Pilgrims; 250 Native Americans; 5 pumpkin pies; 80 turkeys; 300 geese; 17 oak trees; 9 log homes; 12 open fires; and 13,000 dead crumpled leaves on the ground. How many living things were there?


 




4) Bonnie has a special recipe for cranberry relish. She grinds 2 cups of cranberries and 3 cups of orange rind. If there are about 75 cranberries in one cup, how many cranberries go into her grinder?
