Answers for Sheet 8

1) 8 seconds
2) (10/8)*6 = 7.5 minutes
3) 84.12s/4runners = 21.03 seconds per runner
4) Tasha's
5) 43pushups*7days = 301 pushups
6) 60s-27s = 33s
7) 430cm-390cm = 40cm
8) 1.04 minutes (Pattern: subtract .04, then .08,
then .04, then .08, etc).
9) C=2*(3.14159)*50 = 314.159
So to run 5000 m: 5000m/314.159 = 15.916 times.
Going around the track 16 times will be enough.
10) (85s)*(.9) = 76.5seconds, or 1 min 16.5 sec
11) 42,000
12) 4600/50 = 92 times
13) Maria spent $5.11 more than Jose
14) 6.07m-5.43m = .64 m
15) 1.26s
