1) Jan has 3 blue eggs, 3 yellow eggs, 3 red eggs and 3 polka-dot eggs. She needs 21 eggs altogether. How many more eggs does she need?








2) Sally and her sister, Amy, went on an Easter egg hunt. Sally found 12 green eggs, 4 pink eggs, and 3 blue eggs. Amy found 6 green eggs, 7 pink eggs, and 9 blue eggs. How many more eggs did Amy find than Sally?








3) There were 2 rabbits hopping down a long trail. Each rabbit had a basket of 24 eggs. The first rabbit hid 8 of his eggs for the children to find. The second rabbit hid 6 of his eggs. When the children woke up and went hunting they found only 11 eggs. How many eggs do they have left to find?

1) Jan has: 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 12 eggs. She needs: 21 - 12 = 9 eggs

2) Sally found 19 eggs. Amy found 22 eggs. 22 - 19 = 3 eggs. Amy found 3 more eggs than Sally.

3) 8 + 6 - 11 = 3 eggs
