3) I had $10.00 on Saturday. I bought 2 packets of paper that cost $3.00 each. How much money did I have left?





4) It takes me 2 minutes for every block I pass to get to the skate park which is 9 blocks away. How long does it take for me to get to this park?





5) My mom bought me a Play Station for $150. Then she bought a pretty nice doll for my baby sitter at a cost of $25. What is the total my mom spent?





6) I baked 42 cookies. I want my 6 friends to share them equally. How many cookies should I give to each friend?





7) My mom sent me to the store to buy water for $2.50, milk for $2.00, tomatoes for $1.00, lemons for $1.00, sugar for $1.50, bread for $1.00, potatoes for $1.00, apple juice for $2.59, and finally, a dozen eggs for $1.99. What was the total cost and how much change did I get in return for a twenty dollar bill?

2) $60 - $23. = $37
3) $10.00 - (2 x $3.00) = $4.00
4) 9 x 2 = 18 minutes
5) $150. + $25. = $200
6) 42 / 6 = 7 cookies

7) $2.50 + $2.00 + $1.00 + $1.00 + $1.50 + $1.00 + $1.00 + $2.59 + $1.99 = $14.58.
