3. Jessica made a pie. She cut it into 8 pieces. Kristen ate 3/8 of the pie. Tim ate 1/8 of the pie. How much pie was left?

 

 

4. Mark and Jack were drinking milk. Mark drank 2/4 of his. Jack drank 3/4 of his. After they were done, they wanted to know who drank more. Who drank more milk?

 

 

5. Sam walked 2 1/4 blocks to the store, and walked back to Mark's house which was 4 1/4 blocks from the store. Then Sam went to John's house which was 3 1/2 blocks from Mark's house. How many blocks did Sam walk in all?

 

 

6. If Larry has 1 1/3 cookie and Dan has 3 2/3 cookies, how many cookies do they have in all?

 

 

7. One recipe required 1 1/4 of a cup of applesauce. The second recipe needed 2 1/2 of a cup of applesauce. How much applesauce is required in all?

 

 

8. Josh went to the store and bought 1/3 of a cake. Jerry went to the store and bought 1/4 of a sandwich. Who bought a larger amount of food?
