5) There were 46 people in the bus. Eleven people got off at Main Street. About how many people remained on the bus?

1) 23 becomes 20, and 18 becomes 20. 20 + 20 = 40 points in all.

2) 14 becomes 10, and 36 becomes 40. 10 + 40 = 50 pages. 40 - 10 = 30 fewer pages.

3) 37 becomes 40, and 32 becomes 30. 40 + 30 = 70 children

4) 73 becomes 70, and 12 becomes 10. 70 + 10 = 80 cents.

5) 46 becomes 50, and 11 becomes 10. 50 - 10 = 40 people remained on the bus
