Answers for sheet # 279

1) $24 becomes 20, 11 becomes 10, and 38 becomes 40. Total = 20 + 10 + 40 = $70

2) 87 becomes 90 cents, 54 cents becomes 50, and 39 cents 40. Total = 90 + 50 + 40 = 180 cents or $1.80

3) 83 becomes 80, and 57 becomes 60. Total boxes = 80 + 60 = 140 boxes. 80 - 60 = 20 more boxes.

4) 33 becomes 30, and 17 becomes 20. 30 - 20 = 10 more children.

5) 83 becomes 80 cents. 47 becomes 50. 80 -50 = 30 cents.
