1) 24 becomes 20, and 38 becomes 40. 40 - 20 = 20 horses

2) 73 becomes 70, and 47 becomes 50. 70 - 50 = 20 fewer cans

3) 27 becomes 30, and 43 becomes 40. 40 - 30 = 10 pear trees

4) 50 will remain 50. 23 becomes 20. 50 - 20 = 30 envelopes.
