Answers for sheet # 211

1) 11 x 3 x 1.75 = $57.75 for party favors
12 x 2.75 = $33 for movie tickets

$33 + $57.75 = $90.75 for the party expenses

2) 32 ¸ 8 = 4 people per row
4 people per row x 12 rows = 48 people seated to watch the show

3) Old basketballs = 15; New basketballs = n;
Sum = 133

15 + n = 133
15 – 15 + n = 133 – 15
n = 118

118 new basketballs appeared in his garage.

4) $300 - $160 = $140 still needed
$140 ¸ $20 per week = 7 weeks

Sammy needs to save 7 weeks of allowance to buy the Play Station 2.

5) 96 people x 2 wheels per bike x 24 spokes per wheel = 4608 spokes needed

4608 x. 50 = $2304 spent on spokes
