Answer for sheet # 243

a) Since there are 3 even numbers
on the sides of a cube (2,4 and 6),

the number of desirable outcomes is 3.

There are 6 possible outcomes (1,2,3,4,5 and 6).
Probability of getting an even number is 3/6 = 1/2

b) Three odd numbers; 1, 3, and 5
Probability of getting an odd number is = 3/6 = 1/2

c) There are three number greater than 3; 4, 5, and 6
Probability of getting a number greater than 3 is 3/6 = 1/2

d) There is only one side with number '4".
Probability of getting 4 is = 1/6

e) Three numbers are less than 4; 1, 2, and 3
Probability of getting a number less than 4 = 3/6 = 1/2

f) There are three prime numbers; 2, 3, and 5.
Probability of getting a prime number is = 3/6 = 1/2
