Answers for sheet # 231

1) 1/4 of 12 = 3 slices

2) Games won in the first half = (3/7) x 70 = 30 games
Total games won = 30 + 7 =37 games

3) Money spent on books = (1/4) x 20 = $5
Money spent on gift = (3/5) x $20 = $12

Saving = $20 - ($5 + $12) = $3

4) Time driven = 6 hours/4 = 1.5 hours
Distance driven = (500 km/4) = 125 km

5) Music = (2/3) x 60 minutes = 40 minutes
DJ Talk = (1/10) x 60 minutes = 6 minutes
News = (1/20) x 60 minutes = 3 minutes

Commercials = 60 minutes - (40 + 6 + 3) = 11 minutes
