3) Of the passengers on a train, 2/5 were women, 3/8 were men, and the rest were children. What fraction of the passengers were children?






4) Geoffrey swims 7/8 of the length of a swimming pool in the same time that Christy completes 3/4 of the length. How much farther ahead is Geoffrey?

2) Novel left to read = 1 - ( 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/4)

3) Children= 1 - (2/5 + 3/8)
1 - (31/40) = 9/40

4) (7/8) - 3/4
