2) Mr. Lalonde's class has 11 girls and 14 boys. Express this data as a percentage.






3) Mr. and Mrs. Smith have 24 small children. 12 have brown eyes, 10 blue eyes and 2 have green eyes. Express these as percentages.






4) The Odeon theater has 175 seats. 150 are occupied during a show. What percentage of seats are empty?

1) 0.40 x 300 = 120 children
300 - 120 = 180 adults

2. 11 + 14 = 25
(11/25) x (4/4) = 44% girls
100 - 44 = 56% boys

3. 12/24 = 50% have brown eyes
10/24 = 42% have blue eyes
2/24 = 8% have green eyes

4. 175 - 150 = 25 empty seats
25/175 = 14% is empty
