Name_________________________Date:_____________

Show your work.

1) If ABC is an equilateral triangle with a perimeter of 21 cm, what is the perimeter and area of square BCDE?

2) In the above picture, find the angle ABE.

Answers for sheet # 379.

1) Side of the equilateral triangle is 21/3 = 7 cm

Area = 49 sq cm
Perimeter = 28 cm

2) Angle ABE = Angle ABC + CBE
= 60 degrees + 90 degrees
= 150 degrees

Since ABC is an equilateral triangle, each angle is 60 degrees.
