1) There are reindeer and elves at Santa's workshop. Out of the two species there are 172 legs and 68 heads How many reindeer and elves are there?









2) Three elves: Holly's (boy), Snow's (girl), and Jingle's (boy) last names are Berry, Flake, and Bell. One of them makes toy dogs, another makes toy cats, and the other makes toy fish. Each makes only one kind of toy. Find out whose last name is whose and who makes what kind of toy.

a) Bell doesn't make toy cats.
b) Berry tried to convince Holly into helping him make toy dogs, but was unsuccessful.
c) The cat maker said she doesn't make fish.








3) Tony is buying a Christmas ornament for each of his 6 aunts. Each ornament is $14.95 and there is a 6% sales tax. Tony didn't have enough money, so his mom and dad will each pay for 1/8 of the total bill. How much money will Tony pay?
